The Mid-State Chapter of the Michigan Mountain Biking Association works with landowners and managers throughout Mid-Michigan to secure trail access for mountain bikers. We have obtained permission to design and build trails with which you may already be familiar, such as Anderson Park in Lansing and Burchfield Park in Holt. We continue to look for new trail opportunities as well as maintain existing trails.
We build and maintain trails because we like to ride. In addition to trail work days, we host races and weekly group rides at various trails. Mountain biking is a fun, social activity.
You are welcome to join us at any trail days or social events. Please check our blog or forum for more information.
The Michigan Mountain Biking Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.

Does the Mid-Michigan MMBA associate meet for weekly rides?
This is something we have been trying to get going again, but there has been little interest so far. Usually, if you just post on our message board people will show up to ride. I would like to establish a set day, time and trail though.
We will be in the Hillsdale area the third week of June. We are not familiar with riding locations in this area. Can you recommend some good places to ride?
We are a family of four and like mountain biking (beginner/intermediate)but not too technical/advanced.
There are a few parks close to the Hillsdale area. Ella Sharp park is in Jackson there is about 12 miles of trail there. The signage is not the best so the trails can be a little difficult to follow if you don’t know your way around. Burchfield park in Holt is very family oriented with excellent signage. Fort Custer is also pretty close to that area this is a really good ride. Heritage park in Adrian is close as well, however it may be a little hard to follow as well. The signage is not the best there either.
